I can honestly say that I haven’t always agreed with everything that came out of 50’s mouth. However, 50cent makes a whole lot of sense in the recent Vibe article. One of the tidbits that got my attention was when he spoke on artists with facial tattoos. Interestingly enough he withheld names. Which I’m sure was only to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings (yeah right) and not to cause anymore unnecessary feuds in the industry. This seems to be a first but I give him credit for taking the high road. Yet we’ve all seen the pictures and know who he is referring to.

During the interview the G-Unit founder expounded on the fact that getting a tat on your face is surely a way to brand yourself as an artist. However, you can’t be a grown a** man or woman who decides to exit the industry in order to excel in the real world with art inked on your dome and be taken seriously. Especially without covering it up with some sort of foundation or makeup. Curtis even notes a certain A- list rapper who’s over the age of 40 and has made it out of the P.J’s and is currently thriving as a successful lyricist, author, restaurant owner, and overall business man. A man who never felt the need to take part in the trend of getting a tattoo on his face.
