“Oh say, can you see…the lyrics?!” You knew it was coming, right? Our homegirl…wait, can we actually call her that? I mean, she’s got soul and all plus she still can out sing a bunch of R&B beauties in the game on any given Sunday, but homegirl? Maybe not.

Anyways, so the little diva that could gave us quite a rendition of the coveted “Star Spangled Banner” during last night’s Super Bowl kick-off. She’s definitely going to go down in history as having one of the best Super Bowl performances vocally, but that horrific moment every singer dreads actually happened when she forgot the words – not just once, but twice.

If you didn’t see the entire performance, check it out below. She covered that junk up real quick and kept singing as if she wrote it that way. Nice try Christina, we’ve still got love for you.

Let us know what you thought of Christina Aguilera’s performance after watching it again. Was it a nice save or a swift transition for this soon-to-be veteran vocalist? Check out the gallery below to find out what the listening/viewing audience had to say on Twitter.

No Cheerleaders at the Super Bowl?
