Lil Wayne’s Young Money team had their “We Are Young Money” compilation got a top 10 debut landing at number 9 with 142 thousand copies sold in its first week beating out Eminem’s re-released album, as the Detroit rappers “Refill” helped his “Relapse” jump 83 spots to land at number 11 (a 713% increase) giving him a total of 1.69 million units sold so far. Speaking of 1.7 million, the Black Eyed Peas passed that number this week with another 104,000 cds sold while Jay-Z’s “Blueprint III” moved close to 60 thousand records making his total close to 1.5 milli. Gucci Mane sold another 40+ thousand, 50 Cent did another 30 thousand and The Clipse racked in another 8,400 units. On the R&B tip, Mary J Blige had her new “Stronger (With Ever Tear)” album debut at number 2 with help from Drake and T.I. who are both featured on the new project. Alicia Keys and her “Element Of Freedom” record lost two spots but did achieve gold status, passing 500,000 copies sold.
