Beyonce was spotted out in New York earlier today rockin’ a Wildfox “Love Is Everything” shirt, Alexander McQueen Buckle Ski Boots & a pair of her controversial House of Dereon leggings. Last year, a company by the name of Icelandic Fashion Brand threatened to sue Beyonce for jacking their leggings and passing them off as her own designs. According to the owner of the brand, she bought a pair of the leggings from Top Shop in 2009 and then wore them in her shoot for the Dereon Spring 2011 campaign.
This is naturally huge and I am still half in shock. I didn’t twig straight away that this was her own label: I just thought she was wearing our leggings. It is practically just copy/paste.
Obviously Beyonce is not bothered as she was all smiles while rocking her heavy metal leggings…
