Lil Wayne is a free man and he’s not wasting any time getting back to work. “Wayne picked up right where he left off with a 15-hour recording session,” DJ Scoob Doo recently said. Tuesday (November 9th), just five days after getting out of Rikers Island, Weezy was back in the studio recording his first verse in nine months. A picture even hit the net showing Wayne recording at the legendary “Hit Factory” studio in Miami, Florida.

Lil Wayne is known as an artist who mainly doesn’t write his lyrics but as Young Moneypresident Mack Maine says, Weezy’s extended sentence led him to start writing down his raps. “He’s writing. He’s writing music now. Everyone knows that Wayne didn’t write before he went in,” Maine said. “[He’s been] incarcerated for eight months. You can’t remember eight months of material up top.”

Producer Cool (of the hit production duo Cool & Dre) says that they have made more than 50 beats for Lil Wayne that are just waiting for him. “In October, we shut the studio down and said, ‘This is “Wayne Welcome Home” month and we gon’ get beats every day for Wayne,’ “ Coolexplained. “So he’s got a major catalog waiting for him.
