Chris Henry Jr. Shuts Down Recruitment, Commits to Ohio State

The legacy continues! One of the nation’s top football prospects, Chris Henry Jr., reaffirmed his commitment to Ohio State on Tuesday. Henry shut down all talk of his recruitment and canceled planned visits to Oregon, USC, and Miami.
The Class of 2026 wide receiver, originally from Cincinnati, played for Withrow High School before transferring to Mater Dei in California. At Mater Dei, he helped secure a state championship in 2024.

Ranked ninth overall and second in California by 247Sports, Henry had remained verbally committed to Ohio State since July 2023, despite heavy interest from other top programs. He will make his official visit to Columbus from June 20th-22nd.
“I’m always locked in… I’m just still enjoying the process of just being a recruit, because this is only happening one time. So, you know, I’m still going to just enjoy it. The other schools, I tell them, like, ‘Yeah, it’s going to be really hard to try and get me to flip, because it’s Ohio State.’ This is where I want to be.” – Chris Henry Jr. last summer.
Henry, the son of late Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry Sr., is expected to be a key addition to the Buckeyes’ tradition of elite wide receivers.
