Lil Durk Announces ‘Deep Thoughts’ Album Release From Jail

Chicago rapper Lil Durk has officially announced that his highly anticipated ninth studio album, Deep Thoughts, is set for release on March 28, 2025. Despite facing legal challenges, including an October 2024 arrest on murder-for-hire charges, Durk is moving forward with the album’s launch. 

To promote the upcoming release, Durk shared a trailer on his Instagram account on March 17, offering fans a glimpse into the album’s creation process.  The trailer features a phone conversation between Durk and his production team, discussing the development of Deep Thoughts while he is incarcerated. 

The album will include 19 tracks, with singles like “Turn Up a Notch” and “Monitoring Me” already available.  Deep Thoughts serves as the follow-up to Durk’s 2023 release, Almost Healed.

Deep Thoughts will be available on all major streaming platforms starting March 28. Fans can anticipate a deep dive into Durk’s experiences and reflections during this tumultuous period in his life.
