Two Dead, One Injured in Colerain Shooting

Two people were killed and another injured in a shooting that took place early Thursday afternoon in Colerain Township.

According to Colerain Police, the shooting occured in the parking lots of Walgreens and Popeyes, located at the intersection of Colerain Avenue and Springdale Road. Police are investigating two active scenes on both sides of Colerain Avenue— one outside Walgreens and another near Popeyes.

According to WCPO, the two deceased individuals were found near Popeyes, while the critically injured victim was discovered at Walgreens and has been transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. A witness mentions that one of the bullets hit a person walking into the Walgreens. Authorities have closed off parking lots and businesses near the intersection but have not closed any roadways. Police are advising the public to avoid the area while the investigation is ongoing.
