President Barack Obama plans to make a special appearance in New Orleans as he publicly marks the anniversary of the tragic Hurricane Katrina which swept through the city just five years ago.

Confirmations from representatives at the White House also announced that President Barack Obama will speak at Xavier University. Other administration officials who have worked on Katrina recovery efforts will also be in the region to mark the anniversary of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
