It’s (finally) official! After a five-year engagement, actress/MTV VJ LaLa Vazquez and NBA star Carmelo Anthony married in New York City Saturday night.
Adorably, their 3-year-old son, Kiyan, escorted them to the altar.
About 320 people, including pals Kim Khardashian and Ciara, were on hand to watch LaLa walk down the aisle in a Vera Wang gown, adorned with flowers.
Carmelo proposed in 2005 with an 8-carat cushion-cut diamond, but later added 2 1/2-more carats with two matching wedding bands, worth $200,000.
“They are ready to party!” Kevin Osbourne, who led the band that played during dinner, said. “A lot of soul and R&B. Michael Jackson to Stevie Wonder.”
DJ Clue was also scheduled to spin.
In the run-up to the big day, La La Vazquez joked that wedding planning was wearing her out, even though planner Mindy Weiss was handing the details.
“I’m seeing the pre-wedding stress increase… The guest list went from this to that [indicating larger]. I’m trying to control it. It’s, like, over the top now!”
Glad it worked out. Congratulations to the happy couple!
