This is a hot one that’s still been on everyone’s mind this week as we remember one of Black music’s most beloved lyricists and also one of Hip Hop’s golden gems gone too soon, the late Tupac Shakur.
A few friends of mine recently traveled down south to check out the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, GA where Tupac’s life was celebrated in true Hip Hop fashion. With his legendary contributions to Black music and the massive commercialism of the Hip Hop genre itself, there were tons of people present to support the cause and honor the man we knew as Tupac Shakur.
After a few technical difficulties, we’ve finally got our hands on the activities from the event. So this one is for all the Tupac fans who continue to celebrate Black music at its best right along with 101.1 The Wiz. Check out the video which features a glimpse of the action from earlier this week. After you see it all, don’t forget to post your responses in the comments section below and tell us how you’re continuing to uplift this man’s legacy and hold onto real music during Black Music Month all month long.
