The Fun Factory is always doing their part to benefit the people. They recently held their second annual fundraiser last night for Sickle Cell Anemia. All proceeds will be donated to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital & Medical Center. Representatives from cellular retail company Cricket stopped by to assist in raising more funds by giving away prizes and of course a phone.
A couple of students from the Ohio Center for Broadcasting were in the building broadcasting live. Your girl Jade West was there also representing 101.1 The Wiz and the WizNation.com crew giving away prizes, taking pictures, eating, having a ball and supporting this great cause.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to make a donation. I personally and sincerely want to make it a point to say “thank you” to each of you and also all of those who came out and skated along with us for the cause.

SIGNS & SYMPTOMS OF SICKLE CELL ANEMIA
The signs and symptoms of sickle cell anemia vary. Some people have mild symptoms. Others have very severe symptoms and often are hospitalized for treatment. Sickle cell anemia is present at birth, but many infants don’t show any signs until after 4 months of age. The most common signs and symptoms are linked to anemia and pain. Other signs and symptoms are linked to the disease’s complications.
SIGNS & SYMPTOMS RELATED TO ANEMIA
The most common symptom of anemia is fatigue (feeling tired or weak). Other signs and symptoms of anemia include:
- Shortness of breath
- Dizziness
- Headache
- Coldness in the hands and feet
- Pale skin
- Chest pain
