The 2010 World Cup kicked off in grand fashion yesterday (June 10) with Fifa’s special Kick-Off Celebration Concert.
Alicia Keys, Shakira, Black Eyed Peas John Legend and K’naan gave great performances in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans in Soweto.
Other performers included South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela, Benin’s Angelique Kidjo, Malian singer and guitaristVieux Farka Touré and Amadou & Mariam.
