Even though the top of the Billboard 200 is ruled by the “Glee” kids and the Stones, there’s a few other new hip-hop and R&B releases making moves — including Nas and Damian Marley’s latest collabo, Janelle Monae, and Reflection Eternal.

In at no. 5 is Distant Relatives, the collaborative effort between Nas and Damian Marley, moving 57,000 copies. It’s the second top 10 for Marley, following 2005’s Welcome to Jamrock opening at no. 7 and Nas’ tenth.

A few slots down is Usher’s Raymond v Raymond at no. 8 with 41,000; and B.o.B’sThe Adventures of Bobby Ray lands at no. 13 with 23,000.

As far as new releases, singer Janelle Monae makes her debut with The Archandroid selling 21,000 to land at no. 16; while Talib Kweli’s collabo album with Hi-Tek, Revolutions Per Minute, under the group name Reflection Eternal opens at no. 17 with just under 21,000.

That wraps things up this week. To cop any of these new releases, head over to Amazon.com.

According to Billboard.com, oOverall album sales in this past chart week (ending May 23) totaled 5.31 million units, down less than 1% compared to the sum last week (5.32 million) and down 19% compared to the comparable sales week of 2009 (6.57 million) — when Eminem’s “Relapse” bowed at No. 1 with 608,000.
