Looks like Iron Man’ armor was enough to deflect all the slings and arrows thrown by the release of the new film, “Robin Hood,” which failed to dethrone “Iron Man 2” from this weekend’s box office throne.

The comic book hero recorded another great weekend, taking in another $53 million, after a record-breaking debut last weekend. In two weeks, “Iron Man 2” has raked in $212 million domestically and shows no signs of slowing down.

The new “Robin Hood” flick, starring Russell Crowe, has a decent opening at #2, pulling in $37.1 million. However, the film cost a reported $200 million to make.

The romance “Letters to Juliet” earned the #3 position with $13.7 million; and the last of this weekend’s new releases was “Just Wright,” starring Queen Latifah and Common,” brining in $8.5 million to take #4.

Rounding out the top 5 was “How To Train Your Dragon,” with $5.1 million, taking its total to-date to $207.7

million domestically.

That wraps things up this weekend. Next weekend, look out for the comedy “MacGruber,” and the animated “Shrek Forever After.”
