Things are getting a bit too personal between Joe Budden and the folks at Hot 97.
Budden’s endless back & forth feud with Drake has been thoroughly reported, and a new diss record or exposed DM seems to pop up every day. Having already spoken on the beef in several interviews, including on Charlamage Tha God’s “Brilliant Idiots,” podcast and segment on Uncommon Sense, Joey assumed Hot 97’s Ebro in The Morning would offer him the opportunity to finally discuss his upcoming album Rage And The Machine. He assumed wrong.
In the 40-minute sit-down, the Slaughterhouse rapper once again rehashed the Drake beef in detail. Hosts Ebro, Laura Stylez and Peter Rosenberg, who have a personal friendship with Budden behind the scenes, then began to grill him about why he fired his podcast co-host Marisa Mendez, a former Hot 97 employee who was also in the room. Some mocking ensued before Budden called the interview “an utter waste of time” and calmly walked out. After Budden’s exit, the hosts continued the discussion, claiming they’re concerned for his health and well-being.
