New Look Wireless Birthday Party

It’s official: Drake’s long-awaited Views From the 6 album will be available for your listening ears on April 29.

Fans began to speculate it’s release was just around the corner after Drizzy spontaneously dropped two new tracks, “Pop Style” (feat. Kanye West and Jay Z, aka “The Throne”) and “One Dance” (feat. Wizkid and Kyla). After waiting what seemed like an eternity, Drake decided to share the release date through non other than the Beats 1 show, OVO Sound Radio. Although a new Drake album seems long overdue, the “6 God” is promising to deliver a substantial amount of music that will feature extended versions of some songs.

“It’s something that I’ve been working really hard on, myself and 40… Trying to craft a lifestyle track, a sound for our city,” Drake said of the album’s content. “It’s not a short ting. There’s a lot of music on there. You’ll have your full share of Drake music for the summer and for the year—forever.”

The project will be an Apple Music and iTunes exclusively for the first day of its release, and subsequently distributed through other various channels.

In addition to the Beats 1 segment, Drake also celebrated the news by peppering in a mini-trailer for Views. The short clip is a glimpse of Drake’s highs and lows throughout his meteoric rise to fame, and also details the significance of 4/29 as “the day.”

Hang on to your panties – Drake seasoned has commenced!
