A passenger plane flying out of Russia to Dubai crashed and exploded while making an attempt to land. The plane reportedly carried a total of 61 people, 55 passengers and 5 crew members. The Boeing 737 crashed around 3:50 in the morning. [Complex]

Texas officials have discovered human remains in a field that could possibly belong to a teenager who disappeared nearly 20 years ago. A suspect in the case of the missing 17-year-old led detectives to a field in Houston, where the body was reportedly found. The Harris County medical examiner is currently analyzing the remains and will provide a confirmation on the body in the coming weeks. [Fox News]

General Mills, the maker of Cheerios, Progresso soup, and Yoplait yogurt products, will start labeling its products that contain genetically modified ingredients in light of a law passed in Vermont.
