Vince Staples is known to be quite outspoken, but it looks like his days on the microphone are limited.

The Summertime `06 rapper recently spoke with The California Sunday Magazine, where he talked to them about feeling underwhelmed by success now that he has reached it.

Vince told the outlet, implying that he would be retiring in two years, “You’re out of your goddamn mind if you think I’m going to be doing this music sh*t for more than two more years, and let me really get some money? If I get some in the next six months, you’ll never see me again.”

The Long Beach rapper has been speaking on his distaste for hip hop culture recently, to which he elaborated, “[Rap] doesn’t progress with the times. I think that’s unfortunate, because rap culture is an extension of black culture, no matter what anybody says. That shows we have to get better.”

Vince is currently on his national tour, which is hitting 23 cities, but this news may sit uneasy with his fans, whom he still wants to do music for.

He continued, “I don’t like being on the road. Health-wise it’s not good for me, and I have other things I’d rather do. But it’s not about you at this point; you’re doing it for the fans; you’re performing the songs.”

How do you feel about Vince possibly retiring in two years from rap?
