Montblanc's 2012 Montblanc De La Culture Arts Gala Honoring Quincy Jones - Arrivals

Music icon Quincy Jones tends to stay out of the spotlight and away from social media, unless a situation like Thursday night’s arises.

The legendary producer was rushed to the hospital on Thursday for chest pains. According to TMZ, Quincy was at his home in Bel-Air when he fell ill. An ambulance was called at 1:20 p.m.

His rep released a statement assuring everyone that the 82-year-old is doing fine. He stated:

“Quincy had some shortness of breath and in an abundance of caution he went in for observation. He is fine.”

Jones then took to Twitter to speak directly to his fans:

Quincy has 27 Grammys and is most known for producing Michael Jackson‘s epic albumsThriller, Bad and Off The Wall. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

We’re glad to see Mr. Jones is feeling better.
