Breaking news out of Madisonville, a District 2 Police Officer was shot in the chest when shots were exchanged @ Roe and Whetsel. Officer with injuries and victim transported to UC Hospital. Suspect in custody. More details on the way.
*Update the officer involved in this mornings shootout has died from his injuries, making this the first officer to lose his life on the job since 2000.
