The Community Leaders and local Politicians got together to discuss the city’s plan to stop the violence. State Rep. Alicia Reece gave her opinion on what needs to happen.

“We must do more if we want different results … The message today is the chief, without the community, it won’t work. It just won’t,” Reece said. “The community has to come forward to help the chief be successful, and the only way the community can come forward is if it has these resources.

“We need to restore hope by rebuilding our own neighborhoods, and this can happen relatively quickly. I’m very excited to support this plan.”
