HelloBeautiful INTERLUDES is an intimate live performance series that features the best vocal talent in the R&B industry.
Bridget Kelly preferred to stand while she sang. With thin heels the only mechanisms keeping her body elevated four inches above the ground, I was expecting the opposite. But Kelly didn’t want her voice muffled, she wanted to sing from the depths of her midsection. And that she did. Packed in her petite (and curvy) frame is a pure voice that flows from her lips when they open. Kelly serenaded #TeamBeautiful, during an intimate performance of her hit song “Street Dreamin” for “Interludes” and made each member of #TeamBeautiful a believer.
You may recognize Kelly’s pure vocals as the stand-in for Alicia Keys‘ when Jay performs “Empire State Of Mind.” The New York City native is working on her debut album featuring the Kendrick Lamar-assisted single “Street Dreamin’.” Slated to hit shelves this year, the ambitious Laguardia High School graduate couldn’t be more excited to have her shot. She was signed to “the Roc” in 2009 and after three years of humbly waiting, her time is now.
Roc Nation, led by Jay Z’s elite business savvy, boasts some of the most popular and entertaining artists (Rihanna, Melanie Fiona, Rita Ora) in the music industry. With Hov at the helms, a talent like Bridget Kelly can be nourished into the next superstar songstress.
