Police officers have reopened the ramp from southbound I-71 to 3rd Street downtown after shots were reportedly fired on the interstate within the past hour.

According to Cincinnati police, construction crews working downtown heard shots being fired around 11 a.m. Officers then quickly shut down the ramp in an attempt to gain control of the random disturbance. The ramp is now back open and fortunately, no one was injured in the process.

Officers will continue their investigation this afternoon with reports that at least one person is being interviewed at this time.
