She has one of the most unfortunately scrutinized breakup stories ever talked about in the entertainment industry, but pretty soon she’ll set the record straight once and for all. LisaRaye McCoy, a talented actress, entrepreneur, businesswoman and a stunning beauty we’ve all come to know and love, has a new reality show The Real McCoy premiering tonight on TVOne in just under an hour (EST).
According to an interview with the Miami Herald’s entertainment reporters, LisaRaye decided to take on the reality craze to make it work to her advantage even in the aftermath of her tumultuous divorce from Michael Misick, who was forced to resign as premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands last year amid assault and corruption allegations.
McCoy states she chose to do the reality series for the sake of telling her own story.
“The show came about from the scandal of my divorce,” McCoy recently told reporters. “With all the rumors, paparazzi, gossip and blogs, you really need to hear the story from the horse’s mouth. I embarked on the reality show craze because it’s taking over. We actors are now sharing the red carpet with reality TV stars.”
