CELEBRITY CHEF BOBBY FLAY TO OPEN FIRST OHIO RESTAURANT INSIDE HORSESHOE CASINO CINCINNATI

January 29, 2013 (CINCINNATI) — Award-winning chef, restaurateur, television personality, and cookbook author Bobby Flay will open his 14th Bobby’s Burger Palace (BBP), and first in Ohio, at Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati when the facility opens March 4. BBP will join Jack Binion’s Steak and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville as premium dining outlets at the new $400 million development, which is the fourth and final casino to open in the State of Ohio. The 3,500 sq. ft. restaurant is located inside the casino adjacent to the gaming floor with seating for about 90 people.

BBP will offer an assortment of burgers inspired by Bobby’s extensive travels throughout America and his love of the grill in a casual and convenient setting. The restaurant will feature 10 signature burgers such as the Buffalo Style Burger with Red Hot sauce, blue cheese dressing and watercress; the Dallas Burger spice crusted with coleslaw, Monterey Jack, BBQ sauce, and pickles; and the Palace Classic Burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion – are all served on a sesame seed bun. Also featured on the menu is a BBP ‘Burger of the Month.’ All burgers may be prepared with Certified Angus Beef, ground turkey or grilled chicken breast.

Flay opened the first BBP on Long Island in 2008. “At any time of year, my favorite thing to eat is a cheeseburger,” says Bobby. “And at BBP, I celebrate America’s variety of flavors, styles and cultures surrounding this classic staple, offering a selection of specialty burgers, served at a great price. I’m very excited to open the first BBP in the Midwest and be able to share this with the families and residents of Cincinnati.”

“I am very excited to welcome Chef Bobby Flay to Horseshoe Cincinnati,” said Kevin Kline, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati. “Bobby’s BBP concept is a great complement to the distinctive venues that will make this a world-class destination in downtown Cincinnati.”

Flay is also the owner and executive chef of Mesa Grill, Bobby Flay Steak, and Bar Americain with locations across the United States. In addition to starring in numerous programs on Food Network and Cooking Channel, Bobby served as Resident Chef and Lifestyle Correspondent for “The Early Show on CBS” and “CBS Sunday Morning” for over a decade and is a regular contributor on NBC’s “The Today Show.” He has also published 11 highly-acclaimed cookbooks.
