Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow…just be careful!
FOX19 -An ‘Alberta Clipper’, a fast moving, usually moisture-starved, small storm, is moving our way.
Because accumulating snow is expected, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the entire FOX19 viewing area. The advisory is in effect until 5 p.m.
It will spread to the north east and by noon the entire FOX19 viewing area will be getting light snow with a gradual accumulation.
Totals will generally be 1″ to 2″ but there will be spots that measure 3″ of snow.
Treated roads should remain wet, while untreated roads will be slick. Highs today will reach the upper 20s.
The weekend will be dry and chilly with the chance of some light precipitation Sunday night.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties.
