T-Mobile is launching an unlimited 4G data plan on January 9th. (wednesday). The prepaid plan (NO CONTRACT) will be priced at $70 a month, and will provide the first 5GB of data at 4G speeds. This is a jump from the current $60 plan, which offers 2GB of data at 4G speeds, with it dropping down to 3G speeds after the cap is reached. The new $70 Unlimited plan will replace the current $70 Unlimited talk/text and 5GB data plan starting Wednesday. With the addition of MetroPCS’ customers later in the year, T-Mobile’s Monthly4G offerings are likely to take an even bigger piece of the pie as at least some of those customers are likely to jump onto T-Mobile’s no-contract offering. This sounds like a win-win, so who will take advantage of these upcoming deals?
