The Know How to Go to College rally took place Saturday on Cincinnati’s Fountain Square. This is the 6th year the “Y” has held such an event designed to encourage children within the Tri-State to pursue a college education. The wind blew as the sun hid behind the clouds. Spotty showers fell throughout the almost three-hour event. As we attempted to dodge the rain drops we line danced, raffled off prizes from college book scholarships, to college campus tours…

Several fraternities not only strolled but spoke with the children on what it means to be apart of a brotherhood! The Cincinnati Ben-Gal cheerleaders extended their support to motivate the children in attendance to further their education. Wide receiver, Andrew Hawkins also stopped by to share his story on how he became an NFL player. Andrew also pulled the winning raffle ticket for an I-Pod.
