Cincinnati’s Women in History

Dr. Gaskins is the Assistant Dean of Inclusive Excellence and Community Engagement in the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science, the only African-American female currently teaching in the faculty of the College of Engineering.

Sheryl Long has been serving as Assistant City Manager for the City of Cincinnati since April 7, 2019.

Renee Mahaffey Harris is a committed advocate for the underserved and marginalized populations in Greater Cincinnati and the region. 

Dr. Meredith Shockley-Smith is an educator and former professor. With Queens Village, she is taking her passion for Black Studies and Women & Gender Studies beyond the classroom

Lauren M. White is a poet, writer, and spoken word artist from Cincinnati, Ohio.  In 2019, she published a poetry book titled Cries from the Dark Side of the Moon.

LaTosha Ward is an accomplished strategist and solution-oriented goal setter.

A Cincinnati native, Elizabeth A. Tye has been and continues to be a proven champion of the District 2 community.
