Just a few short weeks ago, the entire city was rooting on the entire Cincinnati Reds baseball team on Opening Day, but this week for one player all of the celebrating might have changed drastically.
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Mike Leake has been arrested today after being caught on camera inside the downtown Macy’s store with a substantial amount of stolen merchandise. The 23-year-old pitcher was caught leaving the Vine Street department store without paying for the six t-shirtshe had in hand.
This breaking news story comes fresh off the star player’s fellow Reds 11-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates this past weekend. Although the situation mars his reputation, Leake is still scheduled to pitch Thursday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. For more on the evolving story visit the links below.
