Rapper TRINA is considering adopting an orphaned child from Haiti – after the country’s devastating earthquake on 12 January (10) made her realise how “blessed” she is.
The Here We Go hitmaker, real name Katrina Taylor, is desperate to make a difference after the poverty-stricken nation was rocked by a massive tremor earlier this month.
And she’s decided she doesn’t just want to make a donation to Haiti – she wants to take in a child whose guardians perished in the disaster.
She tells AllHipHop.com, “I would like to contribute on a higher level for more personal reasons – in addition to being ready to raise/nurture a child – by being involved on a day-to-day basis.
“The tragic and untimely list of events that have happened in Haiti even before the recent earthquake have made me realise how blessed I am as an individual and I want to share that with a child that is a victim in this disturbing time.”
