It all started on twitter with #teamlightskin vs #teamdarkskin. Now club promoters have decided to make a party around it. The flyer reads “Most Anticipated Party of The Year” – the “Light Skin vs. Dark Skin Party.”
We’re not so sure this is the most anticipated party of the year but it does have the most controversial theme. Beyond the obvious, are we still dealing with this type of social commentary? Do you have issues concerning the pigment of your skin within your race? How do we grow from here?
