Hundreds of women came out today for the 2010 Amazon Beauty Festival! DJ Dimepiece rocked the parking lot with the flyest female anthems and yours truly Keta Kiwi co-hosted the event. We watched an oh so Cincinnati hair battle of 15 local stylists, with hair do’s that could only be found right here on the home front. Though the rain made its way to Winton Road, it did not stop the party. Ladies of Queencity enjoyed free food, an abundance of free samples of hair care products, music, dance contests, raffles and loads of fun! What was most amazing was the Amazon Beauty Festival grand prize winner of of the “42 plasma TV-Ms. Irene Scott. Her praise was infectious; she was so happy and so grateful, everyone embraced her joy. It was absolutely beautiful, tears and all! Thank you to Mr. Lee for giving back to the community in the way that he did today. This is what it’s all about-keeping the community connected (quite beautifully if I may add)!
