The case against Ice-T for driving without a valid license has been dismissed.
Last month, the rapper and actor – whose real name is Tracy Marrow – was initially pulled over for driving without wearing a seatbelt, and then arrested for driving with suspended license.
The performer later took to Twitter to describe that day’s events from his point of view.
“Some punk b**ch rookie cop… Made the arrest of his bulls**t career today. Arresting the Notorious Ice T for no seatbelt… He said ‘I know who you are and I don’t give a f**k!’ That was right after I called him a punk b**ch.”
Ice-T added, “And for the record.. My license in (sic) not suspended. I don’t and never had a NYC license (sic). I have a valid NJ license. It was all bulls**t….”
And, indeed, it was.
“That’s what I’m talking about — dismissed!” Ice-T yelled out in a New York City court today after prosecutors did just that.
And, as Ice-T tweeted last month, he does have a valid New Jersey license; however, records in the New York Department of Motor Vehicles mistakenly noted he had a suspended license because of a lack of insurance. But Ice-T’s 2009 Cadillac is insured (and registered) in New Jersey.
