Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated Carter IV may be taking shape according to labelmate Drake, who has spilled the beans on his incarcerated boss’ raps via prison phones.
While keeping details brief, Drizzy said Weezy’s bars have pressured him to step up his own skills.
“He called me the other day from jail and rapped me two verses, man,” Drake said referring to Wayne. “It really made me, like, ‘I gotta do something different. I gotta get sh– together,’ because he’s really got bars and he’s rapping from a broader life perspective, saying these things people love to hear.”
