Alcohol charges and intoxication reports are swarming this morning as we receive notice that one of our own Daniel Ray Herrera of the Cincinnati Reds has been arrested on public intoxication charges.

According to the authorities, the 25-year-old Reds pitcher was reportedly causing some disruption while riding in the back of a taxi in Clark County, Indiana. The taxi driver was then forced to place a call to highway patrol officials. When Herrera finally arrived to the Clark County Jail, local stations report his blood-alcohol level tested at 0.228. No further details have been released beyond initial reports this morning.
