(AllHipHop News) The embattled Cook County State’s attorney who agreed to drop the charges against Jussie Smollett has revealed she has received “racially charged” death threats.
Kim Foxx has now boosted her personal security amid concerns for her safety and that of her family, in the aftermath of her decision to drop 16 felony charges against Jussie and allowing him to walk free.
Jussie claimed he was beaten by two white guys on January 29, who yelled racist slurs at him, doused him with bleach and tied a noose around his neck.The “Empire” actor was formally indicted and charged with 16 felonies on March 8, but in an amazing twist, on March 26, when Kimm Foxx decided to drop all of the charges against Jussie.
The decision sparked massive outrage and drew strong condemnation from the Chicago police, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the Chicago Police Union and even President Trump himself.
Kim Foxx, who has been at the center of the controversy, recently hired more security to protect her and her four children.
According to reports, the threats are so serious the security is at the family’s side, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
