Beats by Dre might cost a pretty penny, but there’s no way you’re paying more for them than Colin Kaepernick just did!

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback got in big trouble with the NFL for sporting a pair of the unapproved headphones after his team beat the Kansas City Chiefs last week. According to Yahoo! Sports, he’s been fined $10,000 for wearing them during the post-game interview above.

Although Colin may not have thought much of popping the headphones around his neck, it was actually a huge violation. The NFL has signed a contract with Bose, making the audio equipment company a league sponsor. Under the deal, NFL players are not allowed to wear any other brand of headphone during post-game interviews. Moreover, ballers are banned from wearing unapproved headphones within 90 minutes after the game.

Being one of the hottest players in the NFL right now, Colin certainly has the funds to pay $10,000, but it’s been suggested that Beats may be footing the bill this time.

Of course, this speculation has not been confirmed, but it would certainly be the least that Beats could do for Colin—especially now that the company has Apple money! Colin, who did a TV spot for Beats last year, has not spoken out on the fine otherwise at this time.
