The Platinum selling single “Bandz A Make Her Dance” brought Juicy J great levels of financial success and notoriety ever since he emerged onto the mainstream music scene as a solo artist. However, the song has also become the source of a hefty lawsuit filed against him and his label, Columbia Records, for copyright infringement.  The lawsuit was filed by principal photographer of the video, Mahad Dar, and Creative Dream Productions.

According to the lawsuit, Mahad details how he was initially granted rights as the sole owner of the video footage until he and Juicy J came to an agreement on financial distribution between them. Mahad claims that Juicy didn’t abide by the rules of their contract, and released the video without receiving Mahad’s consent.  Because of this, Mahad wants all profits ever made from both the video and song to be given to him, and he also wants to prevent Juicy and Columbia Records from using the song in the future for financial gain.
