Thanks to rapper Nelly, a scholarship to honor Missouri teen Mike Brown, who was murdered by a Ferguson cop, Darren Wilson early this month has been created. Media reports that Brown was suspected of a robbery yet he was unarmed when approached by Officer Wilson . As a result, a series of protests has taken place in the state of Missouri.
Nelly who was is a Missouri native has set up the scholarship fund in Brown’s name. The scholarship recipients will be selected by Browns family.
According to TMZ, Nelly, rapper T.I., actor Kevin Hart and professional basketball player Al Jefferson will donate $15,000 a year to the fund.
