Okay… so normally when a wife discovers her husbands jump off, there’s all types of drama that goes down in an effort to keep her husband, but for Shaq’s wife, that was not the case. She did what any smart woman that’s ready to leave a relationship would do..and joined forces with the mistress!
According to reports, Shaunie hired a private investigator to dig up dirt on Shaq last summer. She wanted out of the marriage for a long time however to get more money in the divorce, she’d have to prove Shaq’s infidelity and mental abuse. Months before Shaunie decided to file for the divorce, the investigator uncovered Shaq’s mistress Vanessa Lopez (who is currently suing him) and Shaunie reached out to her:
Shaunie discovered her husband’s long-running affair with Lopez and she approached Lopez – but not to rip into her, instead Shaunie wanted the affair made public!
“Shaunie tried to convince Vanessa to go public about the affair before Vanessa did go public,” the source told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “And she wanted Vanessa to go to the police too, based on allegations she heard about Shaq harassing her.
“What she discovered about Shaq and Vanessa, gave Shaunie the ammunition she needed to file for divorce and try to get the money she wants.” Vanessa didn’t come forward when Shaunie asked her to, but Shaunie’s request set in motion the events that led Vanessa to publicly reveal her affair with the NBA star.
Additionally, her investigator uncovered voicemails and emails that will hurt Shaq in the divorce and the mistress has voicemails and emails of her own that will help Shaunie’s divorce case. By teaming up, they both have enough leverage to win their cases against Shaq.
