A man killed his mother with the help of his friends.

Qawmane Wilson, 24, of North Austin, Chicago, Illinois, is accused of plotting the murder of his mother to get access to her $90,000 in savings, and two life insurance policies.

Wilson has been charged with murder and burglary in the death of his mother, Yolanda Holmes, 45.

Holmes was the owner of a beauty salon called Nappy Headz Salon in Uptown Chicago.

Wilson used his friends to help him in the evil plan.

His friends, Eugene Spencer, 22, and Loriana Johnson, 23, were also charged in the murder.

Cook County Judge Adam Bourgeois called the murder a “heinous act,” and ordered all three suspects held without bail.

Holmes died of multiple stab wounds and a gunshot wound to the head.

Assistant State Attorney Maura White said that Wilson was the sole beneficiary of his mother’s assets, which included two life insurance policies.

After Holmes’ death, Wilson emptied the $90,000 from his mother’s bank account, White said.

Ayonna Anderson, one of Holmes’ friends, said that she was surprised to learn that Wilson might be involved in the death of his mother.

“Holmes was a single mother who gave her son everything he wanted,” Anderson, a stylist who worked at Holmes’ salon, said.
