Ok ladies…we ALL do it unless we Halle Berry or Beyonce. Talking about our bodies in a negative way is something we ALL must change!

Check out these 4 tips from Jillian Michaels‘  and give your self-esteem a boost. Try these tips:

Instead of focusing on your weaknesses, affirm your strengths and capabilities. Write down your accomplishments, no matter how small, and even say them out loud to make them resonate. This way, you shift your focus from can’t to can.

Learn to genuinely accept a compliment. Don’t deflect it, even though it may feel uncomfortable. Just simply try saying thank you and then return the compliment, if you are so inclined.

Don’t compare yourself to others. This type of behavior only sets you up to feel like crap. We are all different and accomplish things on our own schedule.

Banish the negative self-talk. It’s an ingrained, life-long bad habit  in so many of us, and the source of what holds us back. We would never speak to anyone else the way we speak to ourselves. every time you start to play that nasty tape in your head, Catch yourself and hit the stop button. Remind yourself of your most recent accomplishment instead. It won’t be long before you truly do believe in yourself.
