An Arizona judge sentenced DMX to six months in a Phoenix jail for violating his probation by regularly using drugs. X was also placed on 20 months probation by Maricopa County Court Commissioner Christine Mulleneaux.
Last week, DMX real name Earl Simmons was arrested after his probation officer said he admitted to using cocaine and violating terms of his probation.
During todays court hearing, the judge revealed that an offer had been made to treat DMX by the Pasadena Recovery Center in California The rehab center is featured in VH1’s reality TV show Celebrity Rehab.
The judge stated that an offer of treatment would have to be approved by California court officials.
Michael Bloom the co-founder of the rehab center stated that he wants to help the troubled rapper.
“We made to the offer and we would take him in, if the court is OK with that, adding that celebrity therapist Dr. Drew Pinsky would be involved in DMX’s treatment.
DMZ was on probation for throwing a food tray at a corrections officer inside Maricopa Jail last year.
