According to theurbandaily.com Kevin Durant was not going away empty-handed this time. Thanks to a record-setting 3-point shooting performance from Durantula, the Men’s USA Basketball team earned their fifth Olympic Gold medal. Team USA escaped with a 107 to 100 win over Spain in rematch of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Durant scored 30 points and was 5 of 13 from beyond the arc, setting U.S. Olympic single-game record for 3-pointers attempted. Durant got help from Kobe Brytant (17 points ) and LeBron James (19 points ) but a solid, all-around game from all players gave them the victory.
