If you missed the BET Hip Hop Awards, there’s tons to talk about today as we look back at everything that happened and everyone who graced the stage at the highly anticipated show.

There were five cyphers during the amazing show that literally had everyone here glued to the television and just might arguably become the sole attraction to the entire show if you ask us, but we want to know what you thought of them one by one. Of course, we’re not going to put all of the work on you. Together myself and my homie MusicJunkie have decided to chime in on the cyphers and let you know what we thought of each one.

Then of course, all you have to do is post your thoughts and responses to the cypher or our recaps below on the message board below. Sound simple? Seem easy? Good, then let’s go for it!

First up is an extremely talented crew of rappers including Kanye West, Common, Pusha T, Big Sean and Cyhi Da Prynce – all backed by DJ Premier on the ones and twos.

NOC’S REPORT:

Gotta give props to Pusha. He still reps that original flava and flow that fans fell in love with with the Clipse. Ye’s first flow was off the top of the dome and all my real spitters can tell tell that. Cyhi Da Prince definately did his thing tho. He lives up to his street cred of powerful punch lines and clever twist of word play. The buzz on the net is that G.O.O.D. Music Held it down.

MUSICJUNKIE’S REPORT:

These brothers just rocked it. Even though I’m not very familiar with Cyhi Da Prynce, I’m glad that a variety of heavy hitters in Hip Hop came together for something like this. I think I have to do some research on Cyhi Da Prynce to get to know him, but he’s dope. I wish they’d do this kind of isolated or strategic collaboration more often and maybe that would make me buy more of their records. Who had the best rhyme? That’s difficult. I think I’m the bigger fan of Common’s rather than any of the others. It’s just something about his delivery, his class, his flow and the fact that he seems relatable. It’s a little less rough around the edges than the others, but he still brings you straight to the heart of the streets where he comes from with a bit of intellectual stimulation packaged quit nicely.
