Mary J Blige has vacated the music studio to sing on the big screen. Last week she took to the “Dancing with the Stars” stage to rock out with ex dancer turned actress, Julianne Hough. Both ladies star in the soon to be released musical, Rock Of Ages. The cast is a mile long. Just to give you an idea who shares the screen with MJB, heavy hitters including Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin, and a heap of others. The movie will hit theaters June 15. Get ready!

What’s up Wiznation.com! Mary J Blige has a BANGER on her hands featuring Rick Ross it’s called “Why”. This is one of my favorite records right now and reminds me of the Mary J of the early 90′s and your in luck i just got my hands on her new video so check it out and let us know what you think about it.

MJB’s golden pipes were heard by about 150,000 people at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. This wasn’t just another day at the races. This was in fact the 138^th Kentucky Derby. The Queen of Hip Hop Soul was dressed from head to toe in cherry red. Of course, the Queen couldn’t go without her crown; she topped off her regal dress with a big but not too bold yet fabulous hat. Mary J Blige was the artist chosen to sing the U.S. National Anthem, and she delivered!

Mary J. Blige has been booked to sing the national anthem at this year’s Kentucky Derby. In a statement released from Churchill Downs, Blige will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Louisville track on May 5th, shortly before the running of the 138th Kentucky Derby. I could be wrong but MJB seemed to have a hotter career when she had more had drama in her life.

Mary J Blige has rebounded from her ever popular and memorable Burger King commercial. For some reason many found that commercial to be offensive even racist. A lot of controversy is surrounding Mary J. Blige and a recent TV advertisement she did with Burger King.

In the commercial, she promotes the new Crispy Chicken Snack Wraps. Wearing a short wig, leather jacket and shades, she rocks to the beat of her own song, “Don’t Mind,” off her latest album, “My Life II… The Journey Continues.”

She sings altered lyrics, about “crispy chicken, fresh lettuce, three cheeses, ranch dressing, wrapped up in a tasty flour tortilla.” People complained about the ad on social media sites, with some saying that her peddling of chicken played into racial stereotypes.

In a statement to CNN on Wednesday, Blige said the ad wasn’t what she thought it was going to be, but she did not address the issue of stereotypes.

“I agreed to be a part of a fun and creative campaign that was supposed to feature a dream sequence,” Blige said. “Unfortunately, that’s not what was happening in that clip, so I understand my fans being upset by what they saw.

This Sunday Centric TV will air the documentary Be Inspired: The Life of Heavy D. Hip Hop legend Heavy D was the man back in the 80’s and 90’s era who was best known for his uplifting, and often times humorous rap lyrics. His high energy music along with his incredible dance moves always left his fans in awe. Within the documentary Queen Latifah, Will Smith and Mary J Blige will attest to the Overweight Lover’s cool demeanor.

We lost Dwight Myers, or as we know him Heavy D November 8, 2011 due to a blood clot that allegedly formed during a flight from London to LA last year. He was 44yrd old.
