For those who tuned in to Fantasia’s reality show last season, one of her main goals was to produce an album that would finally win a Grammy. After being nominated 11 times in the past, Sunday was Fantasia’s “Moment For Life” as she won the “Best Female Vocal Performance” award for her single Bittersweet…however, Fantasia was nowhere to be found. Instead, she opted to stay home and boycott the show because she wasn’t invited to do the Aretha Franklin Tribute.

Yesterday, she called up to BET’s 106 and Park and revealed to Rocsi and Terrence that she felt some kind of way about the Awards Show:

I’m going to be very honest with you. You know I wasnt at the Grammys last night, I’m kind of going through my own little thing…last night they were honoring someone who is my idol, Aretha Franklin, and there is no way I could have sat there and not got the happy feet and wanting to jump on the mic because she is my favorite so I felt like, you know, at the end of the day I should have been on that stage so, I kind of did my own little thing last night.

I watched Cee-lo’s performance, I love Cee lo, love Gaga, watched Gaga, and I love Rihannas performance, but I kind of cooked and did my own think last night and was in my own world and was hoping that I won. I have this feeling, like every year I go, I feel like they always look over some of the good singers that are still around and I’m not trying to be funny but thats just the way I felt, so I didnt go into it like I usually do, I wan’t there, so you know I caught some performances, Cee Lo was one of my favorites I love Love love .

When asked what her reaction was when she found out she won, she responded:

Actually I scared my daughter because I just bust out and started crying, and she thought something was wrong with me. You know it’s been a long time coming T, you know at the end of the day its been a long time coming for me and I have been through a lot of things so when Brian called me (my manager accepted the award for me), I just bust out started crying because I felt like eh man, I wasn’t gonna stop until I got one and I’m still not going to stop and you know this has just given me motivation to do my own thing so I just started crying and just thanking God that finally, eleven times nominated, finally I got one.

Gwyneth Paltrow hit the stage with Cee-Lo last night for a surprise performance of “Forget You”…but it was her shoes that were all the rave. She wore a pair of multi-colored Christian Louboutin Futura Booties, Retail $1095. The bootie is made of a suede and patent leather material and features a 6 inch white colored heel.

Christina Aguilera is not having a good week.

After flubbing the lyrics to the National Anthem at last week’s Super Bowl, Christina performed a tribute to the “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin at this year’s Grammy’s and while she executed the song “Ain’t No Way” without any hiccups, as she was she was leaving the stage, she took a spill.

Drake, Rihanna, Cee Lo Green, Gwyneth Paltrow and the Jim Henson Company’s Puppets have been added to the lineup of performers during the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Drake and  will hit the stage together for a performance, as well Cee Lo Green and Gwyneth Paltrow, who will be joined onstage with Henson’s Puppets.

Both Drake and Rihanna have earned four nominations for this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony.

Their duet together will mark the first time the pair have performed together on live television.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s performance with Cee Lo and Henson’s Puppets is also the actresses’ debut at the Grammys.

Previously announced performers include Eminem, B.o.B., Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Janelle Monae, Lady Gaga, Usher and others.

Rappers like LL Cool J, Nicki Minaj and others will take part in this year’s  ceremony as presenters.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards take place on February 13th at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

The show will be broadcast live on CBS from 8:00PM – 11:30 PM EST.

Last night marked the annual Texas Rocks On Holiday Bash hosted by The Recording Academy Texas Chapter. Grammy-winner Gilbert Velasquez, Paul Wall and legendary bassist Chuck Rainey all showed their support and enthusiasm at the industry event.

The year-end celebration, hosted by chapter President Paul Wall and Executive Director Theresa Jenkins, was an opportunity for Grammy members to reconnect, mingle and celebrate as a unit for the last time in 2010.

After his performance (alongside famed Hip-Hop jeweler TV Johnny/ Johnny Dang), a slim and trim Paul Wall sat down for an exclusive interview, revealing details of his life as 19 year old rap star going platinum and, at 29,  having to “fall in love“ with his craft all over again.  He also spoke with us about his future, a potential career in acting, his admiration for rock drummer/ entrepreneur Travis Barker and brief encounter with Matthew McConaughey’s “naked bongos.”
