Atlanta-born R&B singer Monica has a lot on her plate these days. Wearing several hats as a young woman, she’s happily married, raising two adorable little boys and still making moves with hit after hit on the top music charts. So what’s her favorite role in the story of her life?

The singer/songwriter is currently preparing for the release of her seventh studio album “New Life” coming this November and is extremely excited about the new direction her life has taken just in time to inspire new sounds. Monica says the ne new album will actually be a return to what we all fell in love with her the most for years ago when she first started as a sassy teenager.
While working on the new music almost simulatenously, Monica’s new role as a wife has kept her focused and full of joy. She recently visited a string of media outlets including Essence and TheRoot with her husband basketball player Shannon Brown to discuss the married life, cooking and of course those nasty gossip blogs.
